Until the fat lady sings, I'm going to continue to believe this is possible, even with zero more wins. Look at the bubble. Weak, weak, weak.

Anyway, here's to root for today just to hurt all bubble competition:

UAB over Middle Tennessee
Louisville over Syracuse
Butler over Xavier
Wisconsin over Michigan State
Memphis over Houston
Arizona State over USC
Nebraska over Illinois

Right now I have Northwestern ranked 37th overall, with 45-47 being around the cutoff for at-large teams. They obviously keep dropping if they lose the next three, plus they'll surely fail the eye test, but will others keep dropping? Will there be lots of bid thieves? The next two weeks will be interesting.

Agreed. That's certainly the easier and more preferable path.

Middle Tennessee won today, and have probably done enough at 25-4 to make the field as an at-large bid. They're the only C-USA team that can likely get in without winning the tourney, so that's a possibly spot for a bid thief.

Wisconsin is a big one today, if they win, they'll be back in the RPI top 25 giving us 2 quality wins and MSU will lose. Go badgers.

Nope. Makes that win look less impressive. They've tossed some clunkers lately.

Yep. Wisconsin will now have lost 4 of last 5. The Big Ten just isn't good this year. 6 teams to the NCAA, I think.

Nothing seems to be breaking right for us. Maryland losing to Minn. Purdue losing to Mich. Wisco losing to MSU. Rutgers puking up that game vs Michigan. What a week.

Was just thinking the same thing. We obviously haven't been doing ourselves many favors, but almost no dominoes seem to be falling the right way down the stretch with regard to the teams we've been trying to hold off. Minnesota, Michigan and Michigan State have recently won games they might reasonably have been expected to lose . . . while we've done just the opposite.
