Currently, NU's RPI is ranked about 35. Of course it could move up or down depending on results not only of NU's games, but also how NU's opponents do the rest of the way.

Let's suppose that by selection Sunday, NU's RPI has improved to be the 29th best in the country.

Can a team with a top-30 RPI POSSIBLY fail to get an AL bid to the NCAA tourney??!!

IMPOSSIBLE, right?

Let's talk after you check --> THIS out.

Did you read the whole article? This example doesn't directly translate to NU's situation. Our RPI is strong, our KenPom is strong, Sagarin is strong, we have no bad losses, 5-2 on the road in the B1G, we are in the B1G and not the MW, our coach is Collins and not Eustachy, etc.

Agree with all of what you said, but I was crushed when CSU missed the tourney. Also Eustachy is one hell of a coach, although they do play in the MW.

I know that you don't like it, but we're getting into the tournament, no matter what you nonsenscial stats and analysis say. Deal with it.
