NU Basketball's "The Miracle" play that made ESPN's ranking of Number One Play of the Day is in good company with NU Football's similar honor from last Fall for "The Catch."

And to add icing on the cake Wake Forest will likely move up in RPI with their upset win over #7 Louisville.

TV Broadcast history was made with the Northwestern Football Team and Basketball Team both earning Sports Center's #1 Play of the Day in the same school year.

.... and here is the narrative (courtesy of GoUPurple at HailtoPurple.com) that goes with the NU Football's #1 Play of the Day which has now been joined by NU Basketball's "The Miracle" play from last night's epic win.

The 2016 Indiana game provided fans with one of the greatest plays in Northwestern history, a play that ranks with the 2000 Victory Right hail Mary and the 2001 Victory Right II play. Kyle Queiro, wearing a cast on his left hand, made one of the most astounding interceptions ever. The play would go on to be the #1 feature on ESPN's SportsCenter show that night. In this photo by Alaskanwildcat, Queiro eyes the Hoosier pass...

...And here is Queiro's stunning one-handed catch, captured in an instant of Wildcat glory.

And some added views of "The Miracle" Play courtesy of ESPN:

(Gotta love that contrail (exhaust trail) and the measurement graphics that ESPN added to the inbounds throw.)

Cool pics. But "aftermath" sounds a little negative. Like - the aftermath of a hurricane, or - aftermath, I go straight to organic chemistry lecture.

Though Michigan fans might think it's an appropriate descriptor.

Man the looks on the face of the folks in the crowd as the ball hits the backboard in that shot are just awesome.
