CCC is not happy

It said the issue has been present for 10 days. Can NU tell the Big Ten to F off and they book another hotel on their own?

Having to play games on back to back days in that situation sounds terrible. They are already tired from playing a tough game and then have to go back to a room where it is too hot to sleep does not sound like a winning combination.

And then there are the teams who benefit from BIG love. After years of the league protecting Purdue big man Zach Edey by calling everybody around him for a foul and forgetting how to count to three, they are now doing the same for overrated Braden Smith. In last night's narrow win over USC, the Trojans had the ball down three when their wing player came around a double screen to potentially take the game tying three point shot. The slow-footed Smith trailing the play clearly grabbed the cutting player by the shoulder from behind and twisted him to the ground resulting in the pass from the Trojan point guard going right to Smith, sealing the Purdue victory. No foul, of course. Nothing to see here. Can't call a key foul like that on Braden Smith and Purdue. It's just sickening.

I didn’t see the play and I might be one of only a few who feel this way, but I think Braden Smith is a terrific player. Wish he was on our team.

Witht he benefit of being in the arena, decent seats, and more focus on the games than at home...

McCaffrey got ejected last night when fouls were 8-1 in favor of IL.

Purdue got slightly benefited the entire game. USC's best player for the two games, Claude, sat with 4 fouls with like 16 minutes to go. Crowd protests every call against Purdue all night long and 50/50 calls go their way, that's where it all happens.

He is clearly a very good player. I don't think he is as great as the media makes him out to be. His shooting is streaky and his defense is not the greatest. But, he is a very good ball handler and distributor who can also score. None the less, he cheated like hell last night on that closing play and it affected the outcome. And it continues the perception that Purdue gets favoritism from the refs.

This is a pretty big (and warranted) FU to the league from Collins. That plus the decision to skip any postseason makes me wonder if he plans to leave.

Thats a fair comment. I don't want to think Braden Smith is a great player. Mainly because Nicholson's beard on a 5'9" guy is just ridiculous.

But EvanMiyakawa is a damned creative stats guy who rates individual players based on their teams performance when they are in the game. He has Braden Smith ranked as the best player in the Big Ten.
He has JaKobi Gillespie (Maryland) as the 2nd best player in the conference. Gillespie was 3rd team All Big Ten.
Miyakawa has Eric Dailey of UCLA as the 3rd best player. Didn't even get Honorable Mention - because he only plays 24 minutes per game.

Bart Torvik rates his players based on their value over a replacement player, but at their current usage rate. So a guy who plays more minutes will be rated higher than what EvanMiya does, if he's above average.

Torvik has Bruce Thornton (Ohio State) as the best Big Ten player, followed by Braden Smith.

I should learn what jokes are

One joke that seems to slip by people is that there's a guy on the board who says he is "incorrigible."
Basically kicked out of reform school, but his comments are as straight and narrow as they come!

I think thats the joke?
