How is NU ahead of MSU having lost convincingly to the Spartans?

Actually the Charlie Hall story took almost two full pages. That is likely the most ink the trib. has allocated to NU basketball, ever.

The media is starting to notice and jumping on the bandwagon for the ride.

Sportsworld needs a story and I have a hunch that the local media is going to start covering us a bit more if we go 5-2. Im hoping that we still ride under the radar a bit longer though.

I'd rather NU be favored by 10 or more and then win by 20.

WHY?

Fear. When we get under the prime spotlights it just seems like we fail really bad. Not all the time but enough. Im pessimistic without a reason because this really is a good team. We may even win the BIG.

If we are ever going to consistently be a good team, we better learn to handle media attention. The same is true about football. In the meantime, I will take all the media attention we can get.
