Barnett always said, it isn't the guys you miss but the guys you sign that don't produce that are the problem. The guys we have been recruiting this year come off back to back 5-7 seasons while the guys we get next year will come off a top 25, 10 or 11 win team. If the guys we pick up with the last couple schollies are top targets or a guy who would have been a top target suddenly falls (decommit or guy is suddenly interested because of how we have done this year) into our lap, great, but sure no reason to reach at this point.No. Hate that strategy. Absolutely hate it. I've always been a "bird in hand is worth two in the bush" guy when it comes to recruiting. You never know when that last guy in the recruiting class might turn into a good player (i.e. Chance Carter), but you know even less about who you might be able to get in the next recruiting cycle.
