Two top 40 national recruits on campus at the same time next week? Very likely a first. And both have the Cats on their short list. So many positive implications from this development.

This could really accelerate key commit decisions among the top prospects Collins and staff are pursuing.

Carmody would have coached them up better though, no one can deny that. Princeton offense was sick af

My only explanation short of you being a relative of Bill Carmody is that you are on a cocktail of crystal meth and heroin. And you suffer from deep psychological issues that have you living in a world from the rest of us.

Frankly, I thought the Princeton offense was a joke that teams who were familiar with could shut down (and did). I have absolutely zero desire to ever see that gimmick offense implemented at Northwestern ever again. But it was the Princeton defense and the Princeton rebounding that made Carmody a failure even as an X's and O's coach.

Yeah sure I could be shooting heroin or smoking meth and have a bunch of mental disorders. What kinda meth do you like? I get my stuff from this guy named Heisenberg

All of that is totally feasible. Only other explanation would be that I was joking. Slim chance of that being the case though

My sarcasm meter is broken, as is your sensitivity to bringing up highly explosive issues that are a source great pain and that should never be joked about on this board.

I bet you like to tell holocaust jokes at the local JCC.

I brought those highly sensitive issues up...? You sure about that one?

That could be correct. Or he might have been trolling to incite response from you and others. Few would seriously contend that the Princeton offense itself had much effect on individual player development per se. Not even sure Coach Carmody and his remaining acolytes would make that claim.

The ones on crystal meth and heroin would.

A great development indeed. And I'm certain, the head coach will be on campus to greet them.

It was such an obvious troll job that I wouldn't even consider it a troll job

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you were the first in this thread who evoked the word "Carmody"[/QUOTE]

No, that was Chicagocatfan24. I'm not among the devotees of Princeton offense either.

Oh, I got sucked into the thread!! It was the Heisenberg reference!! And I just need to say this.

How many more annoying characters can they fit into "Better Call Saul?" Outside Mike, Gus, Nacho and the future bell ringer, I hope all of them are killed in a bus accident.

There's your worthless, off-topic diversion of the day.

I really hated this season. I really like Jimmy McGill's character but they should have done a spin off called "no half measures" that was a prequel to how Mike went from a cop in Philly to a crooked gangster in New Mexico instead

Can you imagine what this board would be like if we landed Robby Carmody?

Talk about hijacking a thread and diverting it to the gutter At a time when we should all be celebrating ... no less. Geeez-O-Pete.

I totally agree. This season has had a glacial pace and just been annoying. Mike is the most interesting character, hands down.

What exactly are we celebrating? The fact that local and Midwestern prospects are visiting? Shouldn't that be par for the course instead of reason for celebration?

Well, that was who I was responding to.

Getting on the 2018 short list of top 40 prospects from the BIG footprint and multiple top 100 and 150 prospects from within and beyond, and getting them on campus is the next essential step in the evolution of this aspiring program. It has never happened before. I, for one, will celebrate each step of the way...because every significant step in the right direction is a first in what I hope will become a level of success that is par for the course.
