Thankfully there were only two of those jinxing Cubs' W flags atop the Ryan Field Tower that I photographed at homecoming last week. The two flags matched the past two losses. Now we can safely conclude that the Curse of the Cubino is over - and that the Cats have found their mojo.
Credit FarEastWildcat for identifying the "Curse of the Cubino" as per the following exchange of emails:

Look at your photo:
Those 2 W flags on the south tower were the jinx!

Yes, indeed. The curse of the Cubino.

Prediction Thread from Yesterday:
Husky Corn growers - 10
Canine Corn eaters - 13
Walker and VanHoose will play important roles in keeping the Huskers from putting points on the board, the offense will this time win the time of possession battle to allow the Defense to stay refreshed, and Jack Mitchell's kicking will be all the Wildcats need to get the win.

Was way off on the score, but at least got the right team winning. Also with Walker's 13 tackles and VanHoose's Pick Six it would be hard to argue against their having played important roles in the game. Wrong about time of possession, but no question Jack Mitchell's kicking was what the Wildcats needed in the end to get the win.
Dean Lowry with his 10 tackles including several for loss, and Thorson with his marathon runs (and with no turnovers) as well as Jackson with his keeping the Huskers from getting back on the field in the final minutes came up big as well.
Go Cats and congratulations on bowl eligibility!
