They didn't seem prepared to handle the crowd. I got trapped down by the end zone for at least half an hour while they let the students in. Totally missed national anthem and Stanley cup and 3 minutes of the first quarter despite being there twenty minutes before game time. Some irate fans down there with me. They better get it together for the big ten schedule.I'd guess 30-35k in attendance. Strong showing by students. Absolutely beautiful weather. Was rainy and cool earlier, but perfect now.

Just have to shut down your tailgate earlier and your problem will be solved. They didn't seem prepared to handle the crowd. Crowd looked good on TV. Stadium looked nearly full.
I agree. I was surprised to see the official attendance was 29,000+. Looked fuller than that.Stadium was pretty empty by the 4th quarter though. Concessions probably had dogs left over!
What is wrong with Walking. Walked to every game when I was there. 20 minute walk maybe. Have kids gotten that lazy?It was a solid crowd but the students all funneled out at halftime. What I noticed is that they had tons of busses waiting to take them back to campus. I would hold off on shuttling them back until after the game. Let's not encourage their mass departure from the game.
There were a lot of them that walked past me as the busses were dropping them off at the stadium before the game...quite a few couldn't have looked any less thrilled to be there, quite honestly. It was a solid crowd but the students all funneled out at halftime. I parked on campus and walked on Saturday...even got a picture with some cheerleaders and Willie as they were getting to the golf course parking right as I was walking by.What is wrong with Walking. Walked to every game when I was there. 20 minute walk maybe. Have kids gotten that lazy?
There was this perception when I was an undergrad that the stadium was soooooo far. But even from South Campus it was a 20-25 minute walk. On a fall day, that's a perfect semi-buzzed anticipatory distance. What is wrong with Walking. Walked to every game when I was there. 20 minute walk maybe. Have kids gotten that lazy?

Kids are so effin' lazy. Eff them.It seemed a lot further away when I was in school than it does now. Of course, I also run marathons now.
Stadium is a 30 min brisk walk from south campus. 40 min or more with a larger and/or tipsy group. There was this perception when I was an undergrad that the stadium was soooooo far.
