Northwestern begins its Post-Pardon Depression (clever, huh?) tonight with a game against crosstown rival DePaul. The Blue Demons lost to Rutgers (!), but last year NU had to go to overtime to get the win behind a strong game by Aaron Falzon.

Hopefully the Cats take care of business tonight. We'll get to see what Barret Benson can do with some extended minutes. He starts tonight.

Not a bad start for Benson. Two jumpers for four points, with one turnover on a charge and one foul.

NU is putting on a clinic offensively, shooting 70%. They are red-hot from 3, getting fast break points at the rim. Everything is falling.

Lindsay has an amazing shot! I love this lineup! Loaded with great shooters like Law,Taphorn, and Sanjay! Bryant is passing the ball well and not pressing his shots!

Dave Leitao is wondering what would happen if the Blue Demons just ran to the busses and left at halftime. Good god.

That's a half for the ages. That's a great start and great minutes for the new center Benson. Lindsey is the player of that half. The hard question is, how do you maintain intensity when you're ahead by 30+ points ?
