DiNardo tweets that Illinois is most improved team he's seen this year so far, including NU, UNL, UMich. DL is most improved of the teams he's seen. First team offense is solid according to him but they lack depth.
Re: NU: He likes the switch of Mahoney to OL (great attitude). He could start. Otherwise he cannot tell anything about our OL and DT's because of injury and reduced reps. He says our DE's are fine. Three-way QB race hinders development of starter. He likes what he sees out of Thorson so far.
These damn injuries are going to continue to screw this team into this season, I'm afraid. Lock the linemen in the weight room and throw away the key.
