Does not bode well for Braun/Lujan or Lausch

I have no idea what this means. If you care to explain I'd be interested.

He means Northwestern will not allow anyone to express anything that is not aligned with their point of view....
Thats what he means.
He believes that Northwestern is one of the Top 10 offenders in the country in suppressing free speech.

Its a nonsense statement, so you can read it as "Blurby Ping Dongoon Wammsy" and it will hold as much value.

The 2024 review of Free Speech Tolerance rated NU 242 of 248 universities, depending on your point of view NU rates either at the top or bottom . NU was in "good company" as Harvard had supplanted Columbia for #248 but was joined in the bottom 10 by Georgetown and other Ivies. Of the academically elite schools, the University of Chicago did rate in the top 10.

As evidenced by the recent election, polls and surveys can be biased or inaccurate, I have no idea of the content or how the survey was conducted but even if there is a large margin of error, NU still is rated low. Over 60,000 students were surveyed. NU was estimated to have 4 liberal students to every conservative student, in contrast to the approximately 50-50 split in the general population, according to the 2024 Presidential election.

Hey, they were able to disassemble protestors by offering more scholarships and resources.

Univ of Chicago released some statement/policy to the effect that students were going to have to be comfortable hearing speakers that they did not agree with and it is unacceptable to block or shut down speakers you don’t like (probably implied to be conservative voices). I have no doubt that U Chicago students are as liberal as NU and Harvard, but it is at least a strong statement from their administration and maybe why they received the higher ranking.
