They do both. Just as all other coaching staffs do. No doubt it will be somewhat diffiult to recruit because of the uncertainty, but if we do have a decent season it certainly is possible to attract some very good players.They most likely won't be here next year so do they bother recruiting or do they just put all their efforts into winning games this season?

And not everyone shares your pessimism about the current season. It is far too early to know how it will turn out.
It’s absolutely a legitimate question and one I’ve brought up multiple times here. Not only is recruiting difficult, but I wonder who is usually in charge of NIL? Sadly…that’s a massive factor in recruiting now.not pessimistic about the season. i just don't have any idea of what an interim coaching staff does. that's why i'm asking. if you have a five year contract, you build for the future. in this case, you have one year to prove your case. if you're ultimately going to be judged on wins and losses for this one season, it seems like you focus on doing just that. again, i have no idea how it works and that's why i ask.
