I know they are 246 KenPom but, unlike DePaul, they have size down low-- 2 6'9" guys including one who is fairly good (and 242 pounds!) and they have some momentum with a 3 game winning streak, though we will be a big step up from those opponents (and yes I know the last one was Wash. St. but they are terrible, would likely lose to DePaul).

And their third forward (they start 2 guards/3 forwards) is a 6-5 guy who can fill it up (21 ppg), but Sanjay will probably do his usual shutdown of that.

DePaul had no size at all, so this will be the first real test of how much we miss Pardon.

Given Northwestern's basketball history, it is never a good idea for the Cats to sleep against any opponent. Omaha-Nebraska's 98-point outburst against an Iowa team that then turned around and beat ranked Iowa State was a recent example of the danger of underestimating an opponent.

Looking for Lindsey, Law and Mac to lead the team tonight.

You were right about Sanjay shutting down their leading scorer.

Don't get me wrong. I love Sanjay's defense and the job he did last night. Still, Thomas finished with a double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds). We didn't exactly shut him down, but we did force him into 5 turnovers.

It would be interesting to see how much a teams leading scorer scores with Sanjay on them vs rest of team guarding him.

That is what he finished with, but NU had the foot off the gas from early in the second half. I doubt he hits those numbers against our first team.

He came to life late in the first half after Sanjay went to the bench with two fouls. And then Sanjay sat a lot in the second half.

Can we sleep now?

For what it's worth, I literally didn't sleep on New Orleans. And I live in Germany. Went to bed early and woke to watch the game from 1-3am Central European Time. Then back to bed around 3:30am after the WGN post-game interview with Dave Eanet and Joey Meyer. Such is the life of a die hard 'Cats hoops fan living abroad. Go 'Cats!
