Other than those who claimed this was a tourney team, this has been a pretty good year and I think we have better than equal chances of getting into the NIT. 16-9 and we should have a solid chance to hit 20+. If we beat Illinois, Nebraska, PSU, Rutgers, that will get us to 20, then maybe a BTT upset, dunno. At any rate, we should get into the NIT and that's a great coaching job by collins

Turk, I could not agree more, especially in the face of Law being lost for the season, Olah's injury and various other injuries.

I seriously doubt this team gets 20 wins. @PSU? Almost a sure loss. UNL playing better. @Mich, @PU are L's. Just don't see it.

You never know. The odd are in NU's favor vs. Pen St.. Don't forget Illinois beat Purdue handily and Michigan is not the usual Michigan. First take care of the illini tonight and don't forget we still have to play Rutgers.

OK Turk, number 17 is in the books! Go 'Cats.

Exciting. Great game! 17 is great and imo we will be favorites against Nebraska, Rutgers, and PSU. Hopefully, we can gain a tweak of confidence and go 3-2 to close out the season and steal a BTT. No Chores, that 5 game stretch really beat us up this year going up against top teams but if we win 8 BT games this year, that's a great year. Outstanding job by Collins with all the injuries and loss of a scholarship with Vasser.

Credit to Collins on the injury front, yes. Recruiting, yes. Making our program better, yes.

But as to Vassar? Recruiting a non-Big Ten talent, then burying him to the point where he quits, then not being able to use the scholarship? Not gonna give Collins any credit for that one.

What the hell is that about? Vassar is not a Big Ten type player. He needs to either find another program, maybe Div. 2 or get a "needs ride" to NU. How did you like that W tonight?

You make some good points.

Currently, the Cats' would be matched up against Ohio State in the 7/10 game on Thursday. An underdog sure, but a very winnable match up. The "steal" would be knocking off Iowa the following day.

Iowa is tough - damn tough. Don't want to sound pessimistic, but a hell of a lot of stars would have to align to pull that one off.

Care to make a friendly wager on this? Winner gets to change the losing poster's screen name to whatever the winning poster desires.

Sure. I'm in. The bet is, NU wins 20 or more total games including Big 10 Tournament games. I say less than 20.

Completely agree. Even though we've got them the past two years, this Iowa squad is a match up nightmare for NU. With Law sidelined, it's pick your poison with Jok or Uthoff.

We missed our first 20+ 3s against PSU and still lost by single digits. They are not better than us on a normal day, even in their 3/4 empty gym. I'm on board the 20+ train..
