Wasn’t it a huge pay increase? He was second choice behind the LSU DC who was allegedly bumped up to $2M a year to be retained.

Yes, the Aggies went after Aranda, but he got a salary bump up to $2.5M to stay at LSU. Funny money being thrown around. The Aggies I know seem happy to have Elko, and not too concerned about the dollars involved. Everyone wants a winner.
