All year long I have been reading posts from certain supposed fans indicating that the writers know that coaching changes should have been made to the staff, that Fitz should be on a "short leash", and that generally NU has no idea how to run a football program. Now these same "fans" are predicting that we play for the national championship, albeit with a different QB than the one that has led us to three straight victories. I do not know who is a sadder case: the people who write this dribble or those of us who read and respond to it.

You can still read!? Like me, you can probably dribble.

Please name names. We need a good Inquisition around here before conference play starts in 2 weeks.
I'm with you HJ. Some posters are great. Some are bandwagoners, and some just like being jerks. Then there's Willycat, who's a really great guy, but just enjoys being grumpy. Le's not clump all fans and posters in the same light. Gotta name names.

Im not sure which fans have said fitz should b on a short leash or which fans have said he is clueless. And as far as i can tell, nobody is praising our ol or wr coach or suggesting that we start alviti.
Say hello to the Eater bunny of me AB.

Here is a little reminder about sports fans posting on internet sites, at least in my view.

Hint: It's called a "normal" distribution.

This isn't a flame......what is your point?
I think he means there is a normal distribution of fans to the right (positive) and to the left (negative) of the mean (wishy washy).

However, it is the first time many of us (including me) have every been described as 'normal"

I think the distribution is leptokurtic. Most fans are kind of wishy washy and but you have an abnormal amount that are crazy positive or crazy negative.

If that was his point, I probably don't agree. Perhaps there is a normal distribution of readers. It seems like the people who actually post have a higher probability of being 2 or 3 sigma from the mean than would be typical of a normal distribution.

Thanks Shakes, I'll take that as compliment. BTW, I love the shorts that the coaching staff is wearing and think they shoot continue to wear them until NU hits a bump in the road, even into November. Does anyone think they can convince Phillips to wear a pair?

The skewness is definitely negative unless the wrestler happens to be posting that day.

Felis should not exist in nature if posting behavior could be explained by a normal distribution framework.

I think Felis has been very positive about our great win over a superior EIU team. That levels out his negativity toward our win over a half asleep Stanford team. (Sarc... I'm not even gonna say it. You figure it out)
