First-half thread for NU-Wisconsin

I refuse to get my hopes up.... but man are we playing much better defense tonight.

What an impressive comeback by the Cats! Defense and some timely threes.

All it took was a little faith! Looks like by checking in, a little Alaska Karma came with it.

Now a 13 - 0 run with Cats leading. ------

OK, now a 16 - 0 run now with score at 28-19 as Badgers take a time out.

31-22 lead heading into the second half after being behind by 6 when I first checked in.

Go Cats!

Lot of minutes for Mac and Law. The question is whether they run out of gas. I hope they slow the game down a lot.

Regardless of how the second half goes, our D without Lindsey was about as good as I've seen it all year that first half. Wisky will presumably halftime-adjust to the hard double-teams, though; hope we have some tricks up our sleeve.

Good thing is that some guys on Wisky already look tired after that OT game three nights ago. We will be gassed, but hopefully they will be more gassed.

Really liked what I saw out of Benson defensively in his limited action, but the whole team D was strong. Keep it up guys!

Tap is too slow and Brown can't help us on defense! We are doomed!

Law is a beast on the boards and is playing lights out! Love Taphorn's shot!

Make up your mind (oh, wait...).

For real. Wisconsin is throwing up junk that's falling.

Tie game. Good D from both sides.

BMac was throwing up (and missing) on too many bad shots in the 1st half (as was Law), but then started to make a circus shots in the 2nd half (and Law got hot from the arc).

BMac's best game of the season - which was why CC wasn't going to take him out at any time.

But yeah, it was the D that kept the 'Cats in the game and then propelled them to victory!

Good thing that the Wisky bench was just about as short as for the 'Cats.

In retrospect, this game was won in the first half. As a matter of fact the Badgers outscored the Wildcats by two points in the second.

(Ironically Northwestern suffered the same fate in our loss to Illinois as we actually outscored Illinois by one point in the second half!)
