Buzz off Jeff, Your one year as a walk-on football player who couldn't cut it as a player doesn't really add much to your credibility. Fitz' oldest son remains at NU, where, by all accounts, he's doing nicely.
I’m glad Fitz’s son is doing well. As a father, I have no ill will towards any child; and I spoke out, provided evidence, and hope to protect kids like him.
Your attack on me is tried and tired - do better. Things happened, not enough people were held accountable, and hopefully the court battle goes the distance so we avoid the settlement prediction and get a full story from both sides in front of judge & jury.
We’ll see what happens.
FWIW, while gathering evidence my HS coach confirmed they were going to offer me a scholarship had I not quit.
Given the beating I took freshman year, concussions / other stuff, and the impact on my health… it wasn’t worth it.
Football is a dying sport at the youth level for a reason.
I’m not mad at Fitz - we all have faults, and he has a right to sue. However, you are out of touch with today’s working world from your retirement (remember: Big Ten football players are professionals

.
If this goes to trial, you won’t be happy with how he comes off.
