Too bad that you were too young to witness the Bears' dismantling of the New England Patriots in the 1986 Super Bowl: 46-10.That was one of the most enjoyable sporting events I've ever been fortunate to watch in my 41+ years on this Earth. I'm not sure I've ever witnessed such dominance by a team of which I'm a fan, especially with a championship on the line.

Back then those players often had other gigs, They put together a Bears Basketball team that played teams for charity fundraisers. They came to Springfield IL and I was in Jaycees and recruited a guy that put together the only team to beat them over a several year period. Pretty exciting game., Those guys were all great athletes and they did it for off season conditioning. Bears team wanted a rematch so bad but president of our Jaycee chapter did not want to do it again even though it raised a fair amount of money for the organization because we were working with an outside organization that did much of the work
