I took out the last 20 seconds. That cost KJ Windham a 3 pointer.

Not a good ending for Ty Berry, with a raw -13, much of which was attributable to his 2 for 8 shooting and 4 turnovers.
Not much from Mullins and Ciaravino either.
Nick Martinelli finished on a strong note.
Matt Nicholson missed a couple of tip attempts and had a dunk in the first half. He didn't attempt a shot in the 2nd half.
Wisconsin seemed to have a pretty good handle on what we would try to do on both ends of the floor - no doubt they were scouting us in the Minnesota game.
Nolan Winter almost played Nick Martinelli to a draw, while guarding him, so that was a problem we would never overcome.
The Wildcats other than Martinelli and Windham were 8 for 31 from the floor.

Having said that, NU was actually ahead 17-14 when Collins took Martinelli off the floor with 10:33 to go in the first half.
Martinelli only had 1 foul, I think Collins just tried to get him a breather.
Wisconsin hit NU with a 6-0 spurt against Nicholson/Mullins/Ciaravino/Berry/Clayton.
I don't think we ever led after that.

We had a late 14-8 run with Nicholson/martinelli/Mullins/Clayton /Windham.
But really nothing was working against Wisconsin. Perhaps some of that can be attributed to fatigue.

The season comes to a disappointing end - at least versus my expectations 4 months ago.

Without comment on Wisconsin either way, I attribute most of the lost to exhaustion. The Cats offense were able to get to their favorite spots and take their favorite shots with consistency, and missed more often than usual.

Just me or did it appear Ciaravino lost all confidence in his shot in the last few weeks? I recall several 3’s that were airballs or not close. With his athletic ability I’m shocked he wasn’t looking to get to the rim.

Early in the season he seemed to be ahead of KJ, but by the end that was clearly reversed
