Earlier posts noted much of this but for a loss this had bright spots. CC kept the team playing with effort. NU looked a little shocked in half one but were fun to watch when the game was over and they just went out and played. It took a great half from Tremble to keep NU from getting the lead under 10.. 39 Point second half was not bad. Terps were playing hard.
* NU is a three point shooting team, matched against a Top 10 Team without A Olah - our leader and Biggest player - we can't win if cold from 3 point line.
Team fought on without Olah - - NU is good and will be a tourney team next year if not this... Top 68 Team is in sight
* Falzon showed he can shoot, he tried to do other things, got to the line, got some rebounds,, showed he can be a stretch four... very early in his career
* having a stretch four means you need a post player and Pardon is it, but with the refs blowing the whistle the whole game - you need two bigs - Barret Benson is a big recruit if he plays the second big
* Scott Lindsey can be really solid - can shoot threes, athletic, handles the ball a little - decent size for a two guard. He was a guy we wish we red shirted last year. Two seasons from now we will wish we had him back for another year. Reminds me of R. Hearns - a favorite who developed. Ash will be a solid player - a bit small for a two guard and not a point guard but a spark plug... like watching him shoot threes. he is a strong guy. I think he is as good as Demps was as a freshmen - Demps had the injury but comparable with ash being more physically powerful, Demps more streak shooter
* BMAC will be even better with help - and a backup;
* Sanjay - just does not provide enough offense - a great role or bench player at this point. Good bench players add a dimension the team doesn't have - he will bring defense, energy, fill up minutes - very important but the difference between him and Law will be 6-8 points a game of incremental offense. He still has time to work on his shot. I hope I'm wrong and he is nailing 3s as a senior. This is objective - he is a favorite player but big time teams need scoring from the SF positition. NU does need all the minutes and effort he gives us.
* Skelly, Tap - really just 8-9 in the rotation players but hustle and add depth. Rap will drop them down in the rotation. They are better than the 8-9 players we had in the past and like Sanjay - I hope they are scoring big as seniors and that I am underestimating them. Falzon just brings more of an edge to the game even as a freshmen.
Future is really bright
