Northwestern (10-4, 1-2 Big Ten) is on the road at No. 20 Purdue (10-4, 2-1 Big Ten) today. The game is set for a 1 pm CT tip and will air on BTN.

Thank god Leach has made a couple of threes, because no one else is hitting anything.

I find it funny that the schedule gurus every year find a way to screw us Maybe I’m just being pessimist but your first four conference games got one home game out of the four.

If Ryan Young took 1/3 of the 3 pt attempts he does we’d collectively lose our minds. And, even if his shooting motion was not as pretty, he shot it better.
Teams have really figured out how to guard nick. He's having extreme difficulty doing anything in this game. And of course we still can't shoot.
Looks like the boys haven't shaken off the rust of the PSU loss... thank goodness Leach is hitting
Nick can't do anything. Teams are really figured out how to guard him now.

Getting ugly. Need to start hitting some shots or Martinelli will have a donut. He's not getting inside against this D.

It's probably a temporary tooth but still no foul of course. Refs just do not like this team
The baffling thing on that play is how they call a double dribble when the ball comes lose because the Purdue player hits Barnhizer’s arm. They missed the hit on the arm, they missed the hit on the face. And that’s on one of the 3 best players in conference year to date.

Painter is a very very good prep coach. The Purdue players are very aware of where they need to be. Just pay attention where the off the ball defenders are when Barnelli gets a touch.

When CCC doesn't have a strong lead guard, we aren't very good. Hope one of these guys coming in next year can be our next great PG.

When Leach missed those two FT's that would've cut it to 22-16 they just steamrolled us 19-4 the rest of the way. You just can't blink like that.

Man I feel for Barnhizer. Glad we have a week off after this so he can get some attention to his teeth. Planning through that must be rough.

Now I just want Barney to get a double-double and Martinelli to not be shut out. This feels like a game where Jello leads the team in scoring.

Hunger started second half over Nicholson, who sat out most of the first half. Collins must REALLY want the "offense" Hunger provides.

I'm just asking but do people think this team is really a tournament team from all you've seen this year? They have flashes of that quality but I am not sure I see I'm getting enough Big Ten wins.

I still see it. Not today of course, but they're good enough to sneak in. The problem is they don't consistently put it all together.

The concern I have is teams know enough now to double Nick and Barney and basically after them we have limited to no offense

Yep, me too. That's why we need Berry to take/hit open shots.

I'd like to know why Smith's and-one was considered in the act but Barnhizer's against Butler was not. That foul today happened before he even went up.

Also they need to play Jello more for sure. He's a very reasonable three-point shooter, has some height and is getting better at understanding the game flow.

Like a LOT more. His athleticism is a huge advantage that nobody else can provide. Plus he's a good 3pt shooter.

I don't think so. Collins is not that easy to sway based on recent performance.
I think benching Berry and Nicholson at the start of the second half speaks volumes. Leach barely played in the second half as well.

The time to hit the panic button is if we lose at home to MSU.

Bardo said something which is very true: every team has 3 to 4 games where things really don’t go well. Go back and think about previous seasons and we had those. Let’s hope this is the case here. We played in the toughest arena in the conference.

I don’t know if we are a tourney team, but I think we have the talent to get to 10 wins.
