Game Thread: Northwestern vs. Rutgers

I never strapped it on, so someone explain, what is a "really spirited shootaround" mean? I am always hearing that teams have this. People were loose and happy? Does it mean the team will play well? It seems that's implied, but the phrase is used so much that I don't really know if it means anything.

Ace Bailey before the game: Wait, that skinny kid is a projected top draft pick?
Ace Bailey by the second commercial: Oh, yeah. He can play a little.

This group just doesn’t have enough talent. Hope next year’s recruits are part of the next great cycle of NU hoops.

Our defense is embarrassingly bad at times. For a team that prides itself on "tough defense" that's happened WAYYYYY too often.

That ref made three horrible calls in a row, dude needs to pay attention.

Cats getting lots of chances and coming up empty.

Leach takes a shot in the eye, refs see nothing.

It’s maddening to see Bailey cutting unopposed into the paint and score. Lapses on defense happen all the time but losing him in this particular game is maddening
