I’m curious to hear general opinions about Genyk. Our defensive coaching is great, offense sucks, and special teams have underwhelmed.
His hiring was supposed to be a panacea for our special teams. Yet it seems like we’re still doing the same old crap.
Have we made any true improvements in that area? I’m not a ST expert but if Kuhbander made that FG against Nebraska, we could have tied and gone to OT.
Full disclosure: When I was on the team eons ago, he was the dick on the coaching staff. He constantly bitched that if “he had a long snapper in 1995”, then he’d have a national championship ring. Yet when he signed two long snappers in the same class, he threatened to pull their scholarships.
What gives, Fitz? If we go 4-8, do we need both a new OC and special teams coordinator?
