Funny interview with Jimbo at the Vandy-Kentucky game, He was on a podcast with Calipari and John invited him to a game, so Harbaugh said "I don't believe in empty gestures so I took him up on it". He was very animated and almost normal. When asked about the Bama-Clemson game, he said "I heard it was a great game but I fell asleep and didn't see the end".

He really liked the unique gym at Vandy, said it is an awesome atmosphere. Here is a bit of trivia: Vandy's Memorial Gymnasium and McGaw Hall are tied as the 26th oldest arena in Division 1, and both were opened on 12/6/1952:

Vandy's gym is (as far as I know) unique in its placement of team benches behind the baskets. The out-of-bounds courtside hardwood is vast, almost as if they started out with an overwide court and then trimmed it down to regulation size.

I read that end line benches weren't uncommon when the gym was built, but as you point out this is now the only court set up that way.

His weekly interview on Detroit radio runs the gamut from painful to engaging. I'd say as a general rule he shuts down when asked the typical questions from a typical sports reporter.

But he'll talk all day about James Garner. Seriously. The hosts had a hard time ending the segment that day.

He's a strange guy, but who can't enjoy a coach who works the chain gang at a game during a recruiting trip?
