Hell of an effort, hell of a game, hell of an atmosphere.

Of course I'd have loved the W, but that was an outstanding basketball game & our guys showed real toughness. They looked very much like they "belong." A few key guys shooting just slightly better than terribly would have transformed that game into a win. And just from TV, it looked like the best atmosphere in that building since I became a fan nearly a decade-and-a-half ago. The CBS intro gave me goosebumps. Huge for the program and the school. See you in DC. Go 'Cats!

Purdue shot poorly as well. Haas was horrible. Swanigan got his stats but he didn't play that well on the whole

Teams combined for 32 assists and only 16 turnovers. That is reflective of a high level of basketball being played A lot of the shooting issues for both teams was the result of excellent defense, imo.

We shot well below our norm from 3. If we shot like we normally do, we win by double digits easily.

The Cats missed more than their usual number of 3s as well plus the Wildcats "we" would not normally miss the two one and ones like we did tonight. Had we played our more typical game with regard to 3s and free throws we would have had the win, but not claiming it would have been by double digits.
