Hey can we get some more info on Grad Transfers on here?

I don't think we'll get any graduate transfers. We got 7 of our 9 rotation players back with Rap, Falzon and Gaines in the mix now. A graduate transfer with 1 year to play usually wants playing time, I don't see any on our team for next year. Of course, I'd take a big body to bang around inside (like the Ivy league guy we got), but I'm not expecting much else.

Each situation is different. Some (for example a Rutgers and a PSU transfer) were actually starters, playing a lot. Those probably just want a more competitive team and probably won't mind playing less. A Virgina guy either started or was 1st out the bench (probably would have played even more as a 5th-y Sr); so probably he just wants a change of scenery (perhaps doesn't get along too well with the staff or some teammates). Etc. You can bet that NU isn't exactly the deepest of all the major-conference teams, out there. And injuries can make a huge difference in a program that isn't too deep. Those transferring into competitive major-conf programs expect some significant internal competition. Those who want to dominate, probably transfer into smaller programs.

CC isn't specifically saving a schoolie for a grad transfer. But what do you think he'd do if he doesn't get 2 of his few remaining 2017 targets? Just leaving 1-2 spots empty makes little sense, when a grad transfer can join the team for a year and help more or less, depending on his abilities and how the season evolves (leaving the schoolie intact for 2018).

A point guard with two years left would get a lot of time and the chance to start next year. I think Brown will eventually end up as a Tre Demps-type 2-guard.

Are there any grad transfer point guards with two years left?
