- Fitz quote from the postgame conference.

No he doesn't. I believe he is very, very tolerant of losing, and fundamentally refuses to hold his staff accountable for their core responsibilities. His actions (or a lack thereof) speak infinitely louder than his words. It starts with McCall, but even if Fitz fired him at the end of the year which won't happen, he'd tie the hands of any new coordinator by requiring that all his bros get to keep their jobs on offense. Who's gonna take that job besides a MAC coach with no self-esteem who's just looking to get out of the MAC? And Springer...good god, depending on the player, this position group as a whole has either not improved from one year to the next, while some guys have actually regressed on his watch. It's actually sad to see how far this position group has fallen from the not-so-distant past of the Ross Lanes, Eric Petermans and Andrew Brewers.

We could argue all day over whether it's the players or the coaches, but this is Fitz's program and these are our coaches' players. As long as Fitz is only willing to do 50% of a head coach's job, we'll string together some wins and continue to get cleaned out by legitimately good teams.

Rick Venturi probable despised losing with a passion when he was NU Head coach too...........

Rick Venturi really had no choice in the matter. With the talent in the program back then, he must have immediately ran to the drug store and bought some Vaseline after taking the HC job.

Anyway, maybe Fitz should look into purchasing some V for himself if his team keeps pumping out such INSPIRED performances.
