Maybe I am being petty here, but a university and to a lesser extent coaches, make a financial investment in recruiting and reduce or stop the "spend" once a player gives a verbal commitment. I now believe that a complete overhaul of college football recruiting needs to take place. I would much prefer tightening the recruiting calendar and rules, but creating a better process if a player truly made a bad decision. Make it a different transfer process after frosh or soph year with limitations. Modify the current "close to home" rule that wont encourage wide spread transferring but make it a true option for those that need it.
