I usually have a lengthy chat with a good number of my friends who graduated within a few years of me during every game. Today, we had a prime time game, first divisional game of the year, first opportunity to really show something after the MSU debacle.
During the entire game, I got TWO responses. One about Nebraska homecoming, the other about the third to fourth quarter light show neb did. The die-hard fans are clearly still here, but it’s hard to make a case to the casual fans as to why they should care. I’m afraid that will resonate with recruits, too. Our homecoming is in 2 weeks against Rutgers. Regardless of the actual game, what kind of support will be at Ryan Field? I’ll be there, wearing purple, STANDING, and cheering, as I always do.
