WildcatReport is looking for a writer or two to help cover Wildcat football this fall. This job is ideal for students, of course, but even other young sportswriters who want to build their portfolios and have a little free time.

The job would entail covering practices and games, and writing news, analysis and feature stories. You would go to post-practice press conferences to interview coaches and players during the week, and then sit in the press box on Saturdays and go to the post-game press conference for home games.

What’s in it for you? A media credential, media access to players and coaches, online media experience, as many bylines as you desire, and untold riches (okay, you won’t get rich but this could be a paying gig). Oh, and you’ll be working for one of the best guys in the business.

Ideally, I’d like to get someone with some reporting experience and writing samples, but I’m open. The ability to get to Evanston at some point during the week and on Saturdays is critical, but we have a lot of flexibility and can work around your schedule. And if things go well, you could cover basketball, too.

Interested? Email me at lvaccher@comcast.net and tell me why you'd be a great fit for the job. I look forward to hearing from you.

Go Cats!

I was thinking about applying for this position but I'd need to resign from my position of male stripper, so I'll politely decline.

True. Being a porn star is draining enough without having to stay up and write articles for Rivals.
