I just got off the phone with weekend visitor Fisher Anderson. He had rave reviews for his visit. Loved what he saw of the facility (from the outside), the lake, the campus, and even the Bean (in Chicago, obviously). And @CoralSpringsCat was right: OL commit Deuce McGuire showed the Andersons around campus. Since Deuce is a commit and not a player, and NU didn't set it up -- it was all Deuce -- his leading the tour didn't violate any dead period rules in the eyes of the NCAA.
Anderson's goal over the weekend was to just see the campus and buildings, and get a feel for the geography, Evanston and Chicago. When he comes back for his OV on June 4-6, it will be all about the people: getting to know the coaches and players.
He's got four OVs set up for June. In order: NU, UVa, North Carolina and Stanford, which he hasn't announced yet. He's hoping that he can take all four before making a decision, but he knows that scholarship numbers could force him to decide sooner.
