Is it odd that NU has only three non-conference games scheduled for 2016?

NU has home games scheduled with Western Michigan, Duke, Illinois State for next year. It seems late in the game to be looking for a fourth, especially with FBS game already on the books.

Would it be late in the game to see another major conference program added? I assume so. Maybe we can get UMass.

Personally, I'd like to see NU and Eastern Michigan sign a 14 year deal. The win's the thing, right?

BiG is going to a 9 game conference schedule in 2016.

The Big Ten is going to a 9 conference game schedule in 2016 leaving only 3 openings for non-con games.

I would like to state for the record, I came up with this face independently of 229

I am a stupid, stupid man. I missed / forgot the nine-game schedule thing, clearly. This is great news.

Actually, not so great news for the head coach. He has won 8 out of 9 games against 1AA opponents. No more gimme's.

Not true. It's GREAT news. As Mr Jango said, if you want to be the best, you must play the best. It's some fans on this sorry ass website that don't want the change.

Well, we still have FCS games scheduled in 2016 and 2017. The proposed ban on FCS games never materialized so who knows what'll happen in 2019 and beyond. (2018 is already set and has no FCS games)

Great news because I'm just more interested in conference games relative to non-conference games. This includes name opponents like Duke and Stanford (though, truly, I'd probably be more interested in Notre Dame than, say, Maryland, or just about any conference opponent. That's mostly sentimental, though).

I'd support multi-year contracts with the dregs of the Sun Belt and MAC, as well. Get out of September (well, mid-September) unscathed and figuring out what you've got, and then go beat the crap out of your neighbors for the next ten weeks.

No. I'm sorry, but I think your mind is not accountable for this post. God was entirely responsible for you both knowing the answer.
