There may be a bit of a Texas twang on campus at Northwestern this weekend, as three players from Lone Star State powerhouse Katy High School will be among the prospects in for overnight visits.

The players are arriving today and will spend Friday night in dorms with their hosts. Then, on Saturday morning they will watch Northwestern's practice, which is also open to the public for the first time this spring (10 a.m. at Ryan Field).

First, let's take a look at the three all-staters from Katy, a school to which Northwestern would love to build a recruiting pipeline. All three received an offer from Northwestern today:

- Three-star linebacker Paddy Fisher is a 6-foot-2, 215-pounder with offers from NU, Baylor, Boston College, Houston, Kansas, Colorado State and Louisiana Tech. Fisher had 146 tackles, around 10 tackles for loss, six sacks and two pass breakups as a junior at Katy last year.

- Four-star safety Collin Wilder is listed as a Texas Tech commit, but he is interested enough in Northwestern to make the trip to Evanston with his teammates -- which likely means that he has at least re-opened his recruitment. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder is ranked as the No. 17 safety in the nation and No. 39 overall prospect in Texas. He committed to the Red Raiders last June and is coming off of a fractured ankle he suffered in the state semifinals.

- Unranked safety Travis Whillock is a little less known than his Katy teammates. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder has offers from NU and Kansas and is also getting interest from Baylor.

In addition to the Katy trio, Northwestern will be hosting two more in the long list of offensive linemen who have visited this spring:

- Four-star guard Will Fries counts Northwestern as one of the 18 schools who have offered him so far. The 6-foot-6, 265-pounder from Cranford (N.J.) is ranked as the No. 10 guard in the 2016 class and the No. 242 prospect in the nation, though NU has told him that they will likely try him out at tackle first should they land him. Fries has made the rounds this spring -- he's already visited Duke, North Carolina, Penn State, Rutgers and Syracuse, and will be visiting Clemson and South Carolina next week.

- Unranked tackle Trystan Castillo tweeted this afternoon that he picked up an offer from Northwestern. He visited Mizzou in January, and Duke, Kansas State and Oregon are among programs showing interest.
