JJ leads the nation in rushing attempts

NU as a team ranks 2nd in the nation in rushing attempts. 310 total.

The number of attempts is inflated because the defense has been so dominant, giving NU a high number of possessions. But those numbers are staggering.

JJ's workload is unsustainable. (He had 245 carries last year.) NU needs to spread the workload a bit (Long and Vault have 71 carries combined) or put it in the air more.

Just not sure Thorson is ready (or effective enough) to pass that much. I like the idea of giving Long and Vault a few more carries...

Respectfully disagree. I think Thorson is ready. But I think he OL and Receivers are not. I do agree that Long and Vault should get more carries. Seems like the offensive coaches have gone all in on JJ and are riding him until he wears out.
