Does anyone know- is Vanderbilt bowl eligible now? I think they'd be a great matchup with us for whatever bowl we go to.
Yeah, they have the same 6-6 record we do. Most likely going to the Independence Bowl.
Vandy's wins (Sagarin rank) include:
UT (25)
Ole Miss (36)
Western KY (37)
Georgia (54)
Middle TN (92)
TN St (191)
Their losses to South Carolina, FL, KY, and Auburn were one score games. They had a bad loss late in the season to Missouri (which did beat Arkansas in their finale).
That's not a horrible resume, despite only 5 wins vs. FBS teams. It's a better resume than ours. Still not a bad team using the Vanderbilt scale.
EDIT: It also looks like Kalija Lipscomb, a late recruiting season target for us last year, is startin as a true frosh for VU.
