Nojel Eastern would be very nice complement to Smith. But, 247 has him a strong Illini lean over Michigan State with Seton Hall and Purdue the other contenders. We seem to be out of it, according to 247. Knowing Collins though, I imagine he isn't giving up on the kid in his back yard.

A historical run this season would help immensely, beginning with knocking off #1 Carolina in the non-conf tourney.

How could Illinois be on ANYONE'S list right now? I know the issues with the athletic department don't involve the basketball program, but it's pretty obvious change is on the horizon.

And Seton Hall??!?! There's either a problem with 247's list or there's something funky in his recruiting process.
