21-20 in a great come-from-behind game. (Third game in a row we score 21.)

Selena Lasota was still out with a lower body injury, but our Cats prevailed against a somewhat chippy, trash talkin' Duke. We used several different players at the draw, as Duke had a decided advantage there for most of the game. But we managed to get the draw control when we most needed it toward the end of the game.

Wilson Field was packed to capacity with a loud and spirited purple crowd. It was great to have our Pep Band there, too.

Thanks for the game day report Uber. Beating Duke is always sweet.

I didn't make today's game but like Friday (which I did attend) they got killed on the draw controls. While nice they pulled it together at crunch time I'm guessing KAH is livid. We've been spoiled by dominating DC's for so long on prior years.

You are correct, sir. Actually Duke had a tag team at draw, the Jenner sisters, who were dominating the majority of the draws.

The Cats will go on a tough road trip the next couple weeks, facing #15 Syracuse and #2 North Carolina. This will be a major test for them, being away for the first time from the friendly confines of Ryan Fieldhouse. Our next home game will be a big one against #1 Boston College on March 9.

Give KAH credit. She schedules like no other NU coach. Plays all the big programs year after year. Her LAX schedules are like Duke's BB schedules.

Softball once again proving that it's 90 percent about the pitching. That said, I'm excited for the next few years.

And the men's baseball team hands Duke their first loss after dropping a tough doubleheader to them yesterday than ended at 2 in the morning due to rain!
