Too bad, he finished 75th with a +11 at the CIMB Classic. Collected $13,400 for his efforts but will have to continue to grind it out on the Asian Tour.

Not true. David's win a couple of weeks ago on the European Tour got him a 2 year exemption on the Euro Tour. He is the Order of Merit leader on the Asian Tour as well so he can play whatever tournaments he wants between those 2 tours.

You are right, but the linked article talked about how Lipsky could qualify immediately for the PGA tour if he had won the CIMB Classic. So he will have to keep grinding on the Asian Tour until the end if he wants to automatically qualify for the PGA.

True, but he will have numerous other opportunities for the PGA Tour by gaining OWGR points. I also assume he'll be able to play the British Open this year so if he wins that...
