Neb is looking like a Scott Frost team against North Dakota - mistake prone, can't block.. hoo boy. But they're talented -cough- and were the best 3-9 team in the history of the world. I wonder if that fan is crying yet in his bathroom.

Their run defense looks better, but they can’t block on the other side.

Neb DL has a significant size advantage over ND. On the other hand, ND defense is making the Neb OL look slow and weak, already has 2 sacks in the first quarter.

I am beginning to think Nebraska won’t win the west. Not clear how well they would do in the MVC.

In fact, you could argue that Nebraska”s offense is so inept, that I am really worried about our defense.

Illannoys might even be better than Neb... nah.

7-7 at halftime. Woof.

Our defense gave up almost 500 yards and 28 TDs to this offense that’s barely done anything against a bad North Dakota team… uh oh.

They’re probably going to pull away after this turnover, but no matter what happens the rest of the game, some Neb fans probably consider it a moral defeat for Frost being tied with UND (not even NDSU) at halftime.

So much for pulling away. This is NOT a good Nebraska team.

Man….now I’m nervous that we didn’t blow out this crappy Nebraska team

There are way too many things to worry about than trying to benchmark the transitive property against Neb. We are 1-0. Let's move on to next week, every game is a new game, just need to win.
I wasn’t really serious. Though it is clear Nebraska is not a Top 10 team.

Nebraska is on a huge letdown. Our game was a slug fest and an emotional last minute loss, in a game they hoped would be their coming out party. Couple that with 2 international flights within 12 days of this game with UND, I’m not surprised they are struggling. They’re not quite this bad but maybe we’re not quite that good. However I don’t see anyone in the West that is out of our league so we should be able to compete.

Never use the transitory property in football.

It just doesn't work that way; they were 100% focused on that opener last week. A quick turnaround game was a recipe for disaster.

(Would've been the same for us but smarter scheduling is why we're not playing this weekend).

How many times have we struggled with lesser opponents and played up to better opponents. This happens to a lot of teams in a lot of these types of games.

I agree they don’t look very good today. Having said that, I would not put too much stock in their performance as an indicator of how good they are this week. They flew back to Lincoln right after last week’s game, worked through jet lag, tongue lashings and self doubt for a few days, and probably didn’t get much focus until Wednesday or so. They also had to bounce back physically from the beating they took in Dublin, as they clearly looked physically destroyed by the end of the game. My guess, with Frost as coach, is that very little energy was actually prepping for North Dakota as opposed to fixing issues noticed against the Cats.
When the Cats booked the Dublin game, I was relieved they had an open date the week after it. Trying to cross an ocean, heal and then prep for anyone the next Saturday is a very tall order. Nebraska is probably seeing that this week.

I feel the same way, I'm really glad we didn't have the Duke game this weekend.

Doesn't matter how great a coach you are: that Dublin trip was like a bowl game in terms of importance in starting off the year.

It's really tough to get back quickly from an overseas trip thousands of miles away and play again the following Saturday against a much lesser opponent, doubly so after a loss.

I'm honestly surprised Nebraska didn't take a bye week this week; scheduling a game this week is a lot of unneeded stress.
