If Fitz thinks that the main cause of the losing streak is a lack of talent, then he should do whatever he can to improve his roster.

I'd be interested to know Fitz & Co's strategy around the Portal. Like...do they still consider HS recruits their best source for talent, or would they prefer someone with playing time at a MAC school with good grades?

The Portal is arguably even more disruptive to college football than NIL. I hate it but it isn't going away. Part of me worries that Fitz being "old school and proud of it" could leave us behind here...picking up guys by chance rather than going after them aggressively.

Jerry Brown was a bad DC. Yes his DB coach performance improved when he got better guys.

You CANNOT blame talent. The coaches recruit and develop the talent. I'm ready to move on from Anderson because he's had 5 years.

JON cannot blame talent because we fell off a cliff on defense. During the last 5 years, we haven't dropped from 20th to 60th in talent, and, for that matter, that still wouldn't excuse it. We are like one of the 5 worst FBS teams in the country. We'd have to have recruiting classes below 100 to blame talent.
