No? My first day at NU, in fall 1980, the Cats lost like 17-10 to Mich.

Today. Negative rushing yards. 100 yards offense. Mich more than 400. And this is a mediocre Mich team.

Not sure what to think at this point. Your season is on the line and you just plain got your ass beat and didn't seem to care. I don't think this team deserves a bowl to be honest.

Don't worry they won't get one they'll get crushed next week as well

Of course not. A 4 win season would have been celebrated in the 80’s. Our expectations are a hell of a lot higher than they have been in the past. That is what makes the last 3 out of 4 years so f*ck*ng hard to deal with.

Exactly. Dark ages is absurd. We’ve won 5 bowl games since 2015 lol. If we win next week, unlikely but who knows, we’ll be 1 win under my 6-6 prediction/goal given how tough our schedule has been this year.

We went to a bowl last year, won it and won 8 games in total. Re-f’n-lax.
That team was set up to win but we have lost a lot of talent and so far what is coming it is not enough to even replace what was lost let alone build. You are starting to see the result this year. If that talent deficit is not corrected quickly Dark Ages II is not all that far away. You did not live through it like many here did

Sorry but unless the talent deficit is corrected quickly, the 4 wins we have for this year might be the high for a while. With our admissions constraints, it is a lot harder to make the quick turnaround that other programs can

Team quit today.

And I say that as somebody that thinks we have a small chance to beat Illinois next week. But that entirely depends on the team showing up to play and not collapsing like this.

Hopefully it's just one game though...
It is also gonna be harder as it is going to be fridgid. We don't have much of a running game and hard to see success in the passing game under those circumstance
