My favorite part:

"But Braun indicated part of that equation was that there were only so many spots available because of what he calls a very high level of retention."

To me, it means that he feels like a good number of the 40 seniors that took part in senior day will be back.

Braun is totally unestablished at this level, so he has to lean into the development and finding team-first, passionate players thing. This probably isn’t so different from what Fitz went for, though he was increasingly able to find those types of players that also had an extra star or two by their name.
