Interesting twist of circumstances. While Northwestern, during the second half, actually had one more point than Illinois in our loss to Illinois, today in our win against Wisconsin, Wisconsin had two more points than the Wildcats in their second half of play.

In effect, both Illinois and Northwestern won their games in the first half.

Not sure exactly what your point is, but you're wrong about NU-Illini. The game was tied at halftime. Also the Badgers only "won" the second half because of a meaningless shot at the end of the game.

The games played out very similar. Difference is that against Illini cats had a few go in and out while Illini enjoyed a fee fortuitous bounces. Last night NU got a few good bounces on the rim.

Admittedly a bit convoluted, but the point being made was that ultimately the wins in both games were predicated upon how the winning teams played in the first half.
