Official first half thread Penn State game

Let's see how much energy the Cats expended in that outstanding half. I worry about their ability to maintain the pace.
Sloppy start to the 2nd half for the Cats. Ball control is worrisome at times, especially with McIntosh. We really need Pardon back ASAP to give Collins an additional option off the bench.

82-60 with 3:20 left. I think the lead is safe, though this is Northwestern.

Seriously, the ESPN color guy with the quiet voice has been really complimentary of NU's play throughout the game. He's sold on this team given the way it plays defense and shares the ball, along with the depth. He has been pretty high on Law, Lindsey, and Skelly for his effort.

You mean legendary UConn coach, Jim Calhoun.

NU has looked really solid today. Can't count on shooting threes this well going forward but they execute their offense really well and should be able to consistently get good shots against Big Ten teams. Getting Pardon back should be big. Benson has hung in there but they could use more of a scoring threat inside and another big body in the rotation.

We've thoroughly outplayed these guys for 95% of the game and then let them claw their way back. Hope Collins really emphasizes closing games out (I'm sure he does). Better B1G teams will take advantage of poor play if we give them the chance.

Always good to get a B1G win on the road, though. On to MSU!
