A late morning national telecast when the Buckeyes roll in.

Good. Get it over with before people notice
This is going to be a true Dark Ages type blowout esp if we continue to turn over the ball and make stupid penalties. Expectations are so low for us in this game. I last saw us play OSU at home in-person in 2008 and that was a total blowout for the Bucks. I expect more of the same this time.

Remember, remember the 5th of… October 2002.

Nobody gave that downtrodden squad of Cats a fart’s chance in a tornado of beating the eventual national champion Buckeyes. Yet they battled valiantly to get in position to at least believe an upset was possible.

And then two years later we finally beat them.

That being said, I will be very busy that day at a family event that I’m really looking forward to. You all are on your own.

Nobody gave that downtrodden squad of Cats a fart’s chance in a tornado of beating the eventual national champion Buckeyes. Yet they battled valiantly, and Roehled them like Kings, in position to at least believe an upset was possible. They paid the Price, left the Bucks running game with slim Pickens, and pounded them until they Cofield their legs.

And then two years later we finally beat them.

…I’m grasping at straws here. But if we somehow best OSU, then that is a season saver. I’ll settle for 2-10 if one of those wins is over the B1G’s death star. And I might not even complain too much if JON returns.

That being said, I will be very busy that day at my son’s best friend’s birthday party. The invitation was hand made by his mom, his dad is a cop who called in a favor to rent a firehouse, and a lot of heart went into it, so I’m really looking forward to it. You all are on your own.
Remember in 2002 was the emergence of Tresselball. The Buckeyes were the "Luckeyes" with a series nailbiter wins on the backs of a staunch defense and neglible offense including fighting off a Hail Mary attempt against Michigan, their own Holy Buckeye play against Purdue, eking out a narrow victory over Cincinnati by intercepting them on 4th and goal in the final minutes, an OT win at Illinois, a referee-assisted OT win in the national title game again Miami (FL). They had some mild blow outs against a couple of teams but not this blowing out multiple teams like by 30 to 50 points.

I think I have that Saturday scheduled for basement cleaning and junk removal, but I'll be monitoring the score on my phone.

So ABC wants to show the country a 1-7 / 2-6 team playing OSU? Is the head of ABS sports an Illinois alum??

ABC wants to show the country Ohio State, the identity of the team they're likely to slaughter is an afterthought.

Ohio State and Michigan will draw 3 million viewers even playing against a tin can like us right now.

So yeah we're a sacrificial lamb on national TV for ABC to show Ohio State.

You nailed it. OSU also has - along with bringing in the most TV eyeballs - the largest fan base - by far.

Oh man, I just realized that tomorrow is the early game, national audience. (During the WS, I saw an ad for TCU-TTU on BIG NOON, so I figured, hopefully, that NU was relegated to cable.)

Good thing I don’t intend to watch. The giggles after the eighth-straight scoring possession for the Bucks figure to be infuriating.
