I have two personal memories with Steve McMichael...
1) Back in 2002, I had an internship at a Chicago radio station, Q101, in their promotions department. As far as internships go, it probably wasn't the most helpful for my career, but I got six credits to pretty much go to concerts, movie premieres and other odd events. So, not too shabby when you're 21.
Well, definitely the weirdest promotion I was assigned to was on some random Tuesday night in the Northwest suburbs at a strip club. I can't remember why this was an event Q101 was at, but the event was guest hosted by Steve McMichael. There were maybe 15 people there - pretty weird, but funny to think about now.
2) I was also at the now well known Cubs game in 2001 when Steve McMichael sang the 7th inning stretch and was kicked out of the park by Angel Hernandez for ripping on him for a call he made the inning before. That game also ended with this completely bizarre play that is still one of the weirder ends to a baseball game I can remember.
