Anybody hear the story behind this? Not my favorite player, but I hope the kid is alright.

I was at the game and noticed him crying as well. There was no obvious reason why he should be but this was a quote after the game by Fran, ""It changes a lot," McCaffery said about when Sandfort struggles. "We don't have a lot going on in the post... I thought he was forcing it a little bit too much and he can do that and get it going, so I let him go. But he felt really bad because he felt he took some bad shots.""

he was exhausted...and probably worn out cuz that NU defense was incredible....and I thought played their best defensive game of the year....Iowa spaces and moves the ball and back cuts...actually fun to watch..but I though NU was SUPER prepared and executed at an extremely high level....and credit to Sandfort for the 100% effort but he and his team mates got outplayed tonight by the Cats who win the best way.....hustle, hustle, hustle and darn good basketball....and coaching...If Coach Lowery put together the D plan...good on ya mate.

It’s rough for the teams involved, but the BTT cut line adds a lot of drama to games like last night’s. Iowa is in really big trouble now — hosting Michigan State and then having to go to Nebraska.

I feel for him despite my intense dislike of IA. He knew they had to win this one and they didn’t.

I was impressed by NUs defense last night. The way they collapsed on drives, cut off the backdoor passes (Berry), yet did a decent job at the arc. Suffocating.

I think he also cried last year in the game they lost all hopes of dancing. Granted, yesterday they only lost hopes of BTT.
