I was there.
I saw and met a few celebrities. But none were more famous than @SimpsonElmwood ! He was practically the mayor of Brooklyn.
Free barbeque breakfast burritos, empanadas, and beers. Incredible.

There is nothing to worry about the subway at that hour. Yes the media highlights the one in two hundred thousand daily events with a mental schizo, but you could have that right now going out for a sandwich.
During the say it is fine. That said taking Uber gets you there fast, not expensive and pulls you right up to the door. Ten steps.
